The Real Place

Dir(s): Cam Christiansen

Program: Canadian Spectrum

Run Time: 5 | Canada  | Language: English

Since the age of 13, playwright and librettist John Murrell has peopled his life with creations of his own imaginings. "In opera and in Shakespeare, in locations that were both natural and supernatural, I have escaped the limitations of my own mind," he says. In this fantastical homage to the artist, animator Cam Christiansen paints Murrell's imagination, suspending the laws of time and space to create a visual collage that inspires wonderment and awe for the creative process.
